“One of the many advantages that have earned to MX-6240N this prestigious award is its powerful scanning functionality,” said Lynn Nannariello, BLI’s assistant managing editor. “In addition to faster than average scan speedsin duplex modeand scan file size that’s smaller than average, the device supports an impressive real-time scan preview that lets users view, rotate, move and delete pages, and zoom, all with a fingertip. These include air-feed technology and temperature and humidity sensors in the large capacity deck to prevent misfeeding, as well as sensors in each drawer that detect if paper has been loaded above rated capacity. Also noteworthy is the device’s printed photographic image output, which earned BLI’s highest rating due to its good saturation, natural flesh tones and above average smoothness and halftone range.
The device is also easy to use, thank in part to its intuitive print drivers that include point-and-click paper source and output destination and unlimited user settings for quick programming. The device’s home screen is completely customizable, with administrators able to customize up to 70 keys based on users’ needs.
